Topps Heritage Baseball 2019 Review
Topps Heritage Baseball 2019 throws it back to the 1970 design and provides a fun baseball card experience with a variety of inserts and cards to chase.
Topps is the undisputed king of baseball cards. They’ve been at it for a long, long time and for many fans they’ve provided everything from a perfect addition to a bicycle to a 1-of-1 unique collectible.
They were kind enough to send me a box to review, and I’m happy to report that Heritage Baseball is just as strong as ever.
With Heritage Baseball, Topps brings back the iconic design of the 1970 series. They look great and they’re a super-fun throwback.
Here’s a look.
There’s something really nice about the posed player pictures. Not that the standard action shots aren’t great, but these create a different feel. They’d make a nice display piece if you assembled a set of your favorite players or team.
In fact, being a Red Sox fan, I was thrilled to pull about 20 Boston cards from the box. I’ll be sticking them in a frame and throwing them in my office.
But here’s a breakdown of what you can expect from a Topps Heritage Baseball 2019 hobby box. You’ll get one Real One autograph or memorabilia card (mine was a Rick Porcello relic), one jumbo box loader card, 24 individual packs (nine cards per pack), plus the chance at variations and short prints.
Overall
All in all, Topps Heritage Baseball 2019 is a really fun product. The sheer number of cards you get in a box alone makes it well worth the purchase, but the short prints and hits are obviously what most people are yearning for.
