2019 MLB Season: The Way Too Early Edition of Breakout Players

While it is way too early in the 2019 MLB season to declare any guy a breakout, there have been some encouraging starts from a number of players.

Sure, It is early in the 2019 MLB season. If you are panicking about a team or player’s performance, you should take solace in the fact that it’s only April. Yes, sometimes the early part of the season is a sign of things to come but only 7% of the 2019 MLB season has played out thus far.

The same is true about players we think are breaking out.  We don’t have enough games or data to reliably determine what is real and what isn’t but that doesn’t mean we can’t start to get excited. There are some guys who are hitting the crap out of the ball that deserve to be talked about and followed over their next hundred plate appearances.

Will some of this turn out to be smoke and mirrors? Probably.  But for now here are some guys that have already provided excitement and could provide a lot more.

These four guys have been lighting it up with exit velocities, home runs, and providing excitement and optimism to their respective teams.  Some of these you may have expected, while some may come as a bit of a surprise.
