After hitting a game-winning home run on Tuesday vs the Pirates, Ian Kinsler yelled expletives towards San Diego Padres fans. Kinsler needs to be released because he hasn’t produced and is dead weight.

Ian Kinsler hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning to lead the San Diego Padres to a 4-3 win.

It snapped a three-game losing streak that included a two-game sweep thanks to a powerful Dodgers offense in game 1 and a big game by Kenta Maeda in the series finale.

The main story wasn’t the home run Kinsler hit. It was what occurred when he crossed home plate.

Fox Sports San Diego cameras caught the second baseman yelling expletives towards the crowd.

If you can lip read he said “F*** all of you!”

Then, when he got to the dugout, a microphone caught him saying “F*** every single one of you.”

After the game, Kinsler said it wasn’t directed towards the fans and that he was only trying to get the team fired up.

Regardless of if it was directed towards the fans or not, it is unacceptable to be yelling expletives in the directions of fans and then point with both hands towards the fans and then lie about it to the media after the game.

The optics just look bad. I don’t care what you do once you are in the dugout, just don’t say those things in front of the fans.

If you are a San Diego Padres fan, there is a good chance that you have been critical of him at some point during the season. I know I have.

He is currently hitting .175 with an on-base percentage of .233 in 120 at bats.

Andy Green has given him plenty of chances, and he keeps putting him in the leadoff spot and he just isn’t producing.

The main reason he is still in San Diego is because of the 2-year, $8 million contract he signed in the offseason.

It is understandable that management doesn’t want to let him go because they would be eating his contract, but Greg Garcia is producing more than he is, and Luis Urías is been on fire in Triple-A.

Even though Urías hasn’t produced this season when he was brought up to the big league club, he has only gotten 24 at-bats.

Andy Green has to give him as many chances as Kinsler has gotten, especially given the circumstances that the Padres are in right now.

Fernando Tatis Jr. has been out for the last 16 games and he will be out for at least another week after tearing his hamstring in Washington.

While he is rehabbing, get Urías back and comfortable in the big leagues so when Tatis Jr. comes back the San Diego Padres offense will be in full force.

It is time to get rid of Ian Kinsler because he is not producing and made a very bad decision by cussing at the Friar Faithful, which should not be condoned.
