New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone told Michael Kay on Tuesday that two of his sluggers could return by the next homestand.
New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone has been forced to sit through Clint Frazier making every error possible in right field since Aaron Judge got hurt back in April.
Well, that could change soon.
On the Michael Kay Show, Boone said, “We feel like we’re making really good progress now.” Of course, he is referring to the injuries of Judge and Stanton.
He also mentioned both will be playing in Triple-A this weekend and could be back in the majors by the next homestand which begins on June 17 vs the Tampa Bay Rays.

Judge was sidelined with a strained left oblique on April 20 while attempting to run out a ground ball. Judge was hitting .288 before he sustained the injury.
Stanton went on the Injured List with a biceps strain but had a muscle strain in the left calf which prolonged his stint on the IL. Stanton got off to a slow start with a .250 average before he was put on the shelf.
The Yankees have been very good without their stars, as they are still in first place in the AL East. Gio Urshela, Luke Voit, and Gleybar Torres have become the unsung heroes early in the season.
DJ Lemahieu was supposed to be New York’s utility guy going into the season, but he has hit himself into the starting lineup, as he already has tallied over 40 RBI’s with a slash line of .316/.361/.818 in his first season in the Bronx.
Yankee fans are getting happier and happier because they are slowly getting back their star players.
Shortstop Didi Gregorius came back this past weekend in Cleveland and got a single down the right-field line in his first at-bat.
The Yankees are about to get a whole lot of thump back in the lineup with the return of Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton.
