New York Yankees: Is Giancarlo Stanton Ready To Be Activated?
New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton is getting closer to making his return to the lineup.
There is finally some good news for New York Yankees fans, Giancarlo Stanton might be ready to return to the team sooner than later. He has been playing well with the Tampa Tarpons and has even hit a few home runs over the past three games he has played.
His presence is clearly missed in right field even though the baby bombers are doing a great job. After being traded from the Marlins, Stanton hit 38 home runs last year with the Yankees and had 100 RBI’s, so even with the new talent that is a very significant loss from the team.

Stanton has been on the injured list since March 31st with first a bicep strain and then a left shoulder strain later on. If all goes well, manager Aaron Boone says him and slugger Aaron Judge could be back for the next Yankees homestand on June 17th. He goes on to say that Stanton is “physically in a good place“. Boone says he played three games for the Tarpons and then he will be transferred to the Triple A team for one last rehab assignment.
As of June 14th, Stanton has been transferred to the SWB Railraiders which proves he is that much closer to coming back.
At the start of the season, the team was missing their core players Didi Gregorius, Miguel Andujar, and Aaron Hicks as well as Stanton. Now with all three back, they will greet Stanton with open arms. Let’s pray this is the end of injuries this year.
Fans are anxiously awaiting the next tweet from the official Yankees account that might say he has been activated. Mike Tauchman is doing a great job filling in at right field while the slugger is out. New York The Yankees are lucky they have many players that can play variety of positions.
