Cleveland Indians Manager Terry Francona cussed out Trevor Bauer after he did something never before seen on a baseball field. Here’s what happened.
Cleveland Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer has been in trade conversations for a while but may have diminished his value after his latest act in Kansas City on Sunday afternoon.
Bauer went 5 innings and gave up eight runs (seven earned) in his last start before the Trade Deadline, and although there was still some talk on a Bauer trade that has pretty much come out the window.

He hurled a baseball from the mound over the center-field wall to let out his frustration with himself before manager Terry Francona came to take him out of the ballgame.
When Francona got to the mound you could tell he was pretty pissed off with Bauer. He was caught on cameras screaming some choice words at the longtime Cleveland Indians pitcher.
“What the f— is wrong with you?” Francona said as he pointed to the dugout.
Bauer seemed to attempt to say he was in the wrong by patting Francona as he left the mound.
“I want to be clear that my frustrations were with myself and my inability to stop the situation and keep my team in the game,” Bauer said after the game. “I’m an intense competitor. That fire is what drives me. Today, it completely consumed me and took over.”
He continued: “It was unbecoming. It was childish. Unprofessional. There’s no place for it in the game.”
Childish and unprofessional it was.
You can understand why Francona would be mad at Bauer after he did that.
First off, he would probably take it personally because he would think Bauer is showing him up and is mad at his manager for taking him out.
And secondly, now Bauer looks like an immature fool in front of potential trade partners a few days before the deadline.
Now, Cleveland might want to trade him because they don’t want him in the clubhouse any longer, but opposing teams won’t be too excited to welcome his personality into the clubhouse.
