Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout continues to show his greatness, passing Ty Cobb on the WAR leaderboard, showing how he is already a Hall of Fame.

In case you happened to miss it, Los Angeles Angels centerfielder Mike Trout passed Ty Cobb on the career WAR leaderboard last week and has amassed an incredible and hilarious 72.1 WAR.

Before we go any further, in addition to Cobb, Trout has passed legends like Mickey Mantle, Alex Rodriguez, and Ken Griffey Jr.and just turned 28 on August 7.  The one thing that has been escaping Trout’s illustrious career has been sustained postseason success but you can hardly blame Trout.

If it weren’t for his easy-going personality and lack of a postseason resume, Trout would be held in the same regard as other one name sports greats like LeBron Brady, or Kawhi.  Until the Angels can put a supporting cast around Trout and find their way to the postseason, the greatest player of the generation will continue to miss out on post-season accolades.

Having an elite talent in baseball matters less because of you…

  • (A) can’t up to the usage of Mike Trout like in basketball and…
  • (B) he doesn’t have the same play by play impact basketball players do.  So what would happen if Mike Trout played in the NBA?
