San Diego Padres Managerial Candidates

Joe Girardi

Joe Girardi is recognized as one of the best managers of the past decade, and he has been at MLB Network this last season.

In a segment on MLB Tonight, he voiced that if the right opportunity comes to him he would want to manage again.

Well, I think the Padres is the right opportunity.

He would get to live in San Diego all season and would get to lead one of the youngest teams in the league, but one that can make the postseason next season.

Once the club acquires a frontline starter like Noah Syndergaard it would make it very appealing to a prospective manager to come manage the Friars.

I think Girardi is a good fit because he has the experience of going deep into the playoffs and winning the World Series, something that will be invaluable for such a young team.
