Los Angeles Dodgers are in trouble heading into game five

The Washington Nationals have momentum heading into LA for Game 5 with Stephen Strasburg on the mound, and the Los Angeles Dodgers are in real trouble.

Juan Soto delivered the game-winning hit in the NL Wild Card game a week ago. Anthony Rendon did the same in their Game 2 win against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Ryan Zimmerman decided to get in on the fun with the signature moment of his career, especially if the Nats can advance to the Championship Series. He took a Pedro Baez fastball above his chest to deep centerfield over Cody Bellinger‘s head.

That homer propelled the Nats to a winner take all Game 5 in Los Angeles on Wednesday at 5:27 PT on TBS.

The win on Monday didn’t just propel them to game 5, but it could very well propel them to their first postseasons series win in franchise history.

I believe the Nats are favorites to win this game despite being on the road. Stephen Strasburg, their ace who just happens to own a 0.64 ERA in October which few have ever done, is going to take the ball, and you would be a fool if you think he is not going to pitch until he can’t throw anymore.

Sean Doolittle and Daniel Hudson are the only relievers Davey Martinez trusts right now, and I’m not so sure he would be too confident in putting in Patrick Corbin in a win or go home game after losing the Nats Game 3.

With that said the game plan will replicate that of Game 4 with Scherzer: Have Strasburg give them 7 innings and then trust Doolittle and Hudson.

The only way the Los Angeles Dodgers win this game is if Walker Buehler has one of those games where he doesn’t give up a run and Clayton Kershaw doesn’t struggle like he usually does in the playoffs, and Kenley Jansen is on his game because when you’re facing Stephen Strasburg you can’t afford to make mistakes.

It will be a must-watch Game 5 that could very well end in history for the Washington Nationals.
