Scott Boras is going to get his clients a combined $1 billion in MLB free agency this winter, and he is easily having the best offseason ever.

Scott Boras did not have a good off-season last winter, as he didn’t get contracts done for his big clients–Bryce Harper and J.D. Martinez–until the offseason was over and Spring Training was starting up.

But he totally flipped the script this winter, as he went into the Winter Meetings at the Grand Hyatt in San Diego on a mission. He would sign Stephen Strasburg on Monday to a 7-year deal for $245 million on Monday, which was a record for total money earned by a starter in a single contract. Then on Tuesday, he decided to break Strasburg’s record for a pitcher by getting Brian Cashman to give Cole $324 million for nine seasons.

But Boras didn’t leave San Diego already because he wanted to go 3 for 3. On Wednesday night all of a sudden he and the Angels got a deal done with Anthony Rendon for 7 years and $245 million just like Strasburg received.

All three of Cole, Strasburg, and Rendon’s contracts totals up to $814 million in just one week at the winter meetings, and add that to the Mike Moustakas contract of $64 million that Boras got before he came to San Diego.

Those four total to $878 million for Boras and we aren’t even at the new year yet. Oh, and by the way, Boras still has Hyun-Jin Ryu, Dallas Keuchel, and Nicholas Castellanos on the market so he will need to get them signed. Castellanos is one of the best hitters in the game with Keuchel and Ryu combining for at least $20 million or so which would very well net Boras 1 billion dollars this winter for all of his clients.

No agent has ever negotiated this much money for his clients, so Scott Boras is having the best winter ever.
