New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter is on the HOF ballot for the first time and he is going to get in so the only question is if he will get the unanimous vote.
Former New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter is known as one of the best shortstops to ever play the game, and he is going to be joining his teammate Mariano Rivera in Cooperstown next summer.
But the big question is if he will be able to get in unanimously. And I think he will be able to, especially when Mariano got already got 100% of the vote in 2019.

Rivera was a reliever–granted he is one of the best relievers of all time–and he only pitched in around 60 games a year which is less than half the amount of games Jeter played in a year.
Not to mention that current Miami Marlins CEO won the Rookie of the Year, 5 World Series titles with a World Series MVP, 5 Silver Sluggers, 5 Gold Gloves, an All-Star Game MVP, and made 14 All-Star Games.
If that doesn’t scream unanimous, I don’t know what does.
People might believe that Jeter being on the best team in the league almost every year helped him be so great, but in the end, he still had to produce in arguably the most criticized sports town ever (and he did it for 20 seasons).
Oh, and he also hit .308 with 20 home runs in his postseason career while being phenomenal on defense, which was highlighted by “The Flip” against the Oakland Athletics in 2001.
I know that some people might think that there is going to be that one guy that wants the attention and won’t vote for Jeter, but I can’t envision how someone would be able to not vote for Jeter and be able to stand by that choice.
In my opinion, out of all the names on the ballot, New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter is the only slam dunk pick to be saying a speech on July 26, 2020.
