New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers most wins in the 2010’s
The New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers had the highest amount of wins of any other MLB franchise this decade. Unfortunately, that success did not translate to World Series titles.
The New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers won 921 and 919 regular season games respectively this past decade, the top two out of five in win totals. Much to their chagrin, neither franchise was able to translate that regular-season success into postseason bliss.
Neither team won the World Series this decade. The last time the Yankees won was 2009 while the Dodgers have been searching for a title since 1988, two years after I was born. They have been searching for quite some time, but have never quite made it over the hump.

The other three teams rounding out the top 5 in win totals this decade have each won a World Series this past decade. The Washington Nationals having won this past season, the Boston Red Sox in 2018 and 2013 and the St. Louis Cardinals in 2011.
Both the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers have considerable talent, with the Dodgers appearing in two out of the last three Fall Classics. They just have yet to make it over that hump again. Out of these two teams I see the Yankees as being the first to win a Fall Classic.
They have made several key acquisitions, the biggest being signing Gerrit Cole away from the Houston Astros. He is the ace they have been looking for and with their high-powered offense, it seems like just the right pairing.
The Dodgers have surprisingly not done a whole lot this off-season. Everyone expected them to go on a signing spree, but that has yet to happen. They have been rumored to be in the mix to acquire either Francisco Lindor from the Cleveland Indians or Mookie Betts from the Red Sox.
Either way, the Yanks will win a World Series before the Dodgers do, simply because they have gone out and improved an already great team.
