As baseball remains in hiatus due to the coronavirus, we continue simulating games for the 2020 MLB season. Here are the results for the NL April 10-12.

It may be a new season and a simulated one at that, but the Chicago Cubs still can’t beat the St. Louis Cardinals.

In the NL Central Division rivals’ first meeting of 2020, the Cardinals stormed out of Wrigley Field with a three-game weekend sweep of the Cubs. That made it 10 Cardinals wins in 13 meetings with Chicago dating back to last July.

The sweep also gave St. Louis sole possession of first place in the Central as the Cincinnati Reds managed only three wins in their four-game home series against NL East-leading Philadelphia.

In the NL West, Arizona retained a one-game advantage over the surging Dodgers, who took two of three from defending World Series champion Washington. The Dodgers have won five of their last seven starts, outscoring opponents 58-30 in the process.

Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis hit safely his first two times up against the San Francisco Giants Friday in San Diego, lifting his batting average to a league-leading .431. In the fifth inning, however, Tatis took a Zach Davies fastball off his elbow and had to leave the game.

X-rays proved negative for a fracture, but the area is bruised and Padres officials expect Tatis to be down for 10 days to two weeks.

Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte continued his merciless pounding of opposing pitchers. Against Colorado in Phoenix, Marte went six-for-12 with a home run and four RBIs. Unfortunately for the Diamondbacks, Marte’s teammates were not as helpful, so the Diamondbacks lost two of three.

Here’s a division-by-division update on the results from April 10-12.
