In this 2020 MLB season simulation, Milwaukee is Brewing up a sweep.

The Mets rode a three-run ninth-inning rally to a 5-4 win over the Astros Tuesday. J.D. Davis delivered the winning blow after Wilson Ramos singled and Brandon Nimmo walked. Wednesday’s game was substantially less dramatic, the Astros winning 12-2 behind Justin Verlander, 9-4. Jose Altuve homered and drove in three runs.

The Brewers improved their standing in the NL Central at the expense of the champions. Milwaukee won 6-2 on Monday, Josh Lindblom, 4-2, pitching shutout ball into the sixth inning. They won 5-3 Tuesday with a pair of runs in the top of the ninth off Will Harris, 1-3. Eric Sogard and Ben Gamel delivered the ninth inning hits.

The Brewers completed the sweep with a  6-2 decision Wednesday for Brandon Woodruff, 7-3.  Avisail Garcia homered.

The Mets opened their weekend series in Washington with a 2-1 win Thursday. Rick Porcello, 3-8, pitched into the eight, allowing just one run. Michael Conforto drove in both Mets runs with a third-inning base hit.

The Phillies scored four times in the top of the ninth inning off Ryan Stanek and Jeff Brigham Monday to escape with a 6-4 decision. Miguel Rojas’ error set up the inning, which Andrew McCutchen capped with a three-run home run off Stanek.

The Marlins turned the tables Tuesday, rallying for three runs in the eighth and ninth to steal a 6-5 win. On Thursday, a Didi Gregorius grand slam highlighted an eight-run Phillies second leading to a 17-3 rout.

Vince Velasquez, 5-3, enjoyed the support, which also included four hits off the bat of Jay Bruce

and three-RBI games from both J.T. Realmuto and Jean Segura.
