2020 MLB Season: NL DH Power Rankings
By Travis Koch
2020 MLB season NL DH power rankings 14-11.
14. Matt Beaty
With established names spattered throughout the lineup, the DH tweak is not as impactful to the Dodgers. Therefore, they won’t be in any hurry to decide on the position. Beaty is in the running. He does not have a defined defensive role as part of a predetermined squad, but his high-potential bat could force his manager’s hand.
13. Jose Osuna
Osuna knocked 10 homers in 95 games last season. His 6’2”, 240 LB frame paves way for more prominent power if he can remain in the Pittsburgh lineup. The DH should be his to lose to begin the year.
12. Garrett Cooper
Anyone who played well for the Marlins last year did so under the radar. Cooper was one of those. The 29-year-old hit .281 with 15 long balls and 50 RBI over 107 games. He frequented the second and third spot in the batting order.
He’s expected to take reign as Miami’s DH come opening day. Don’t be surprised he leads the team in home runs after 60 games.
11. Jake Lamb
Remember when Jake Lamb bashed 29 homers in 2016 and 30 in 2017? That seems like ages ago, mainly because he’s hit just 12 home runs ever since. The D’Backs are hoping Lamb can stay healthy in 2020 and rediscover his All-Star form as their DH. He’ll likely bat in the middle of what looks to be a relentless lineup.
