Will Luis Robert win 2020 American League Rookie of the Year honors this MLB season?

At this point in Luis Robert‘s career, words just can’t do Robert any justice. No matter how many games the 2020 MLB season lasts for, Robert will be must-watch TV this year and has already provided an eye-opening highlight reel tape during summer camp.

The Chicago White Sox have been the sexy pick as a team to watch as an up-and-coming organization and rightfully so with a roster consisting of young talents like Robert, Yoan Moncada, Eloy Jimenez, Tim Anderson, Lucas Giolito and Dylan Cease. That list doesn’t include standout pitching prospect Michael Kopech who has elected to opt-out this year.

Chicago’s top-ranked prospect, Robert played across three levels in 2019, hitting a combined .328/.376/.624 with 32 home runs, 31 doubles, and 11 triples. He also swiped 36 bags, including 21 in 56 games at the Double-A level.

Robert is still a prospect who has yet to make his major league debut, but it’s hard not to get excited about his arrival and ponder about just what kind of numbers the 22-year-old outfielder could put up.

This year may come down to another race between the Cleveland Indians and Minnesota Twins, but the AL Central is quickly becoming one of the more intriguing divisions in baseball. Here’s to hoping we see all of these prospects and many more in 2020.
