Let’s look at what the Atlanta Braves can offer the Rangers for Lance Lynn.
Over the last few days, MLB has been lit abuzz by a number of minor trades across the league. Today, we attempt to address the Atlanta Braves pitching staff by building a trade package for veteran starter Lance Lynn.

Lynn is a 33-year-old right-hander who has been in the league since 2011. Throughout his career, he’s presented more like a journeyman, middle-of-the-rotation type of arm. He’s spent time in St. Louis, Minnesota, New York, and now Texas, and with time has only gotten better.
So much so, that as it currently stands, Lynn can be slotted into any team’s staff as their ace. According to FanGraphs, his 5-1 record along with a sub-2 ERA currently ranks him 9th in fWAR (1.4) – technically, that’s the 5th best fWAR in MLB.
With all of this information in hand, Baseball Trade Values currently gives Lynn a value of 29.3 MTV ($Ms). By comparison, this equates to the same value as a player like Javy Baez.
Therefore, in terms of building a package between the Braves and the Texas Rangers for the veteran, we have to include a player/players that equal that number.
This is what we came up with:
In this deal, the 21st ranked MLB Farm System in the Rangers, according to MLB, receive three prospects with some potential while also dumping Lynn’s $9.3M 2021 salary.
