Finally, for the New York Yankees it’s a healthy roster and home cookin’.
Naturally, the Yankees needed a healthy lineup to begin doing damage at the plate again. The Yankees welcomed back a myriad of sluggers back to their lineup over the last two weeks. This included Stanton, Judge, Torres, Gio Urshela, and LeMaheiu.
Combined, this group of five Yankees owns career marks of 616 career home runs, 1853 RBIs, and a combined .278 batting average.

While the impact of a healthy lineup is more difficult to relate with statistics, the proof is in the intangibles. This healthy lineup has rattled off nine-straight wins and eyes a 10th-straight against the Red Sox on Saturday night.
There are no easy outs in this lineup. Batters one through nine can hit one over the fence, work counts, and make the lives of opposing pitchers one big headache. The Yankees truly live up to that next-man-up mentality, whether it’s with an injury bug or taking ball four for the next slugger in the lineup.
In addition to the healthy lineup, the Yankees continued to dominate at home in the Bronx. Seven of the nine games in this win-streak came at home. And the home/away splits are staggering.
New York owns 21 wins at home, tied with the Minnesota Twins for the best home record in baseball. The Yankees are first in the MLB with 64 home runs at home, first with 170 RBIs, and first with a .908 OPS percentage.
The pitching staff also thrives in the Bronx. New York’s staff owns a 3.53 ERA and 1.136 WHIP at home, both ranking seventh in the league.
While the Yankees eye a 10th-straight win on the road, the formula is simple. The Yankees win when they play at home, when they hit the long ball, and when the pitching staff is at least better than average.
