Pair Colome ane Treinen in Bullpen

The Chicago White Sox need to have a reunion with their closer Alex Colome. In the past two seasons for Chicago, Colome has struck out 71 batters over 83.1 innings, posting a 2.27 ERA and 1.03 WHIP through 83 games. He only allowed two earned runs in 22.1 innings last season. He was an All-Star in 2016 with the Tampa Bay Rays.

He was consistent and fairly dominant late in the game for Chicago. Bringing him back should be a priority. They should be able to get him on a two- or three-year deal. If they want to contend, they need to have a lot of bullpen depth, and having Colome, 31,  on the roster will definitely help their cause.

Colome should not be their only move when it comes to the bullpen. Blake Treinen just helped the Los Angeles Dodgers win the World Series in 2020 and has been a talented reliever in the majors since his All-Star 2018 season, where he finished sixth for the AL Cy Young Award.

He would be a great addition to their bullpen, and he would be another reliable arm late in the game. He has proven he can be clutch, and he probably will not be too expensive this offseason. The White Sox should definitely take advantage of that and make sure their bullpen is deep.
