Former New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia and his family put together an incredible holiday card for friends and family.

CC Sabathia has not exactly faded away in retirement. The former New York Yankees pitcher has occasionally resurfaced in the past year, expressing his thoughts on the Rays or throwing batting practice to his son, who appears to be an impressive prospect in his own right. It is safe to say that Sabathia has been enjoying his retirement.

That time off has also given him the opportunity to explore his creative side. That has manifested with the winner for the holiday card of the year.

This card has made me realize how much I apparently need a CC Sabathia Chia Pet in my life. What baseball fan, or Yankees fan, would not want to have one of these gracing their dwelling?

Sabathia and his family have a reputation for incredible holiday cards. They have gone above and beyond to create as amazing a photo as possible every year. It is great to see that although 2020 has been miserable in almost every regard, this year was unable to stop the Sabathia family from doing what they do best.

But this picture is not the only thing that is impressive about the card. That is not Photoshopped – it is all makeup. That growth on Sabathia’s beard makes this even more amazing.

This card is one of those things that, no matter how much you may want to, you cannot look away. It is a boost of joy in a year that has been a disaster, something that we can all cling to when the darkness seems overwhelming. Sabathia has provided us all with a gift that even he cannot imagine.
