It’s been a slow crawl through free agency this winter, but with one month left before MLB spring training begins, these three teams have improved the most.

We’re just a few weeks away from the start of MLB spring training, but a long list of talented free agents, including J.T. Realmuto, George Springer, Marcell Ozuna, Trevor Bauer, and many others, remain up for grabs and unsigned.

Despite the glacial pace at which the hot stove has trudged along, there have been a small, very small, handful of teams who have taken the opportunity to greatly improve their rosters ahead of the 2021 season. For those who haven’t been very active this offseason, there’s no shortage of available talent.

The Chicago Cubs may not be done trading away their top players after shipping Cy Young finalist Yu Darvish to the San Diego Padres and the Boston Red Sox are actively shopping former Rookie of the Year finalist Andrew Benintendi, giving teams plenty of opportunities to improve their roster through the trade market.

If there has been one bright spot from this offseason, none of the teams on this list are your usual offseason winners, setting up for a potential shakeup across the MLB landscape next year. Ok, that might be a little extreme, but they will at least cause a few more interesting divisional races across what is expected to be a full 162 game season.

Here are the three teams who have improved their roster the most this offseason.
