A healthy Trey Mancini will do wonders for the Baltimore Orioles; possibly at the trade deadline, too.

Trey Mancini – Baltimore Orioles

Baltimore Orioles outfielder and first basemen Trey Mancini is back on the diamond after a courageous fight with cancer. The 28-year-old is entering his fourth MLB full season. The question becomes can Mancini return to form? In 2017, Mancini’s first full season, he hit 24 homeruns and replicated it the following season. In 2019, Mancini hit a career high 35 homeruns. 2019 was, by far, Mancini’s best season of his career with career highs in just about every major offensive statistical category.

After beating Stage 3 colon cancer, Mancini made his Spring Training debut in front of a well-deserved standing ovation.

Further reports stated that Trey Mancini enters Spring Training with zero limitations. This is great news not only for Mancini and the Orioles but fans as well. All signs point to Mancini getting back to his previous form. The Orioles, unfortunately, are still in rebuild mode. Combine the rebuild with Mancini’s production and one year of arbitration left and we could possibly see Mancini join a MLB playoff contender before too long.
