After Angel Hernandez victimized the Indians on Tuesday, it was time for the Kansas City Royals to face the wrath of his thorough incompetence. After all, it is only fair that Hernandez is thoroughly incompetent in every facet on the diamond, with both teams forced to deal with his inability to arbitrate a game.
It all started when Hernandez called Brady Singer for a balk in the sixth inning. Singer had allowed two runs that inning while notching one out, and had runners on first and second. Although the balk rule is subject to a wide range of interpretation, there is no way that Singer should have been called for one.

This horrifically bad call led to the expected commotion. Manager Mike Matheny and pitching coach Cal Eldred went after Hernandez with both being ejected. Both went off on Hernandez at the same time, with Pedro Grifol having to pull Eldred off the diamond.
Hernandez’s balk call had immediate consequences. With runners now on second and third, Josh Naylor hit a grounder to first to score a run. That would be all for Singer, who had a solid outing before he started to wear down.
But Singer was not done just yet. He walked off the diamond directly at Hernandez, giving him a piece of his mind as he left. Hernandez ejected Singer because throwing a pitcher out of the game once he had already been removed can really do so much. He eventually needed to be pushed into the dugout by Whit Merrifield as the Royals’ pitcher grew even more heated.
At this point, Major League Baseball needs to do something. If it was possible for the players and coaches to put forth a vote of no confidence on an umpire, Hernandez would be the target. He thorough incompetence and incapacity to understand the game he is calling has gone on long enough.
The Angel Hernandez Show has struck once again. This time, the Kansas City Royals were the victims, with three ejections and a run against.
