Naturally, Yamamoto received some backlash for his post. He was called ‘soft’ and told he should request a trade since that is the way it goes in New York. However, for the most part, he was able to receive a positive reaction, which was especially the case when he put a spotlight on those who stuck up for his wife in those comments.

Social media can be a great place. It is a way to interact with players and see what goes on in their lives. But it is also a place where anonymous people feel they can take shots at others without any repercussions. Such is the case with those trolls and Yamamoto.
