Angels two-way star Shohei Ohtani continues to prove he is a one-of-a-kind talent and put on his latest spectacle Tuesday night.

Shohei Ohtani is easily the most unique individual in any professional sport. The Los Angeles Angels two-way star isn’t on the mound Tuesday night, but he is in the lineup.

He wasted no time giving his team an early lead as he hit his 13th home run of the season. However, this was no ordinary homer. He blasted this ball up into orbit and all his teammates could do was look on in amazement.

Shohei Ohtani destroys baseball in the cool Southern California air

Has there been a swing this pure since Ken Griffey Jr.? Ohtani just sits on the breaking ball and brings his bat across the plate at an unbelievable rate. The official distance on this home run was 470 feet, and Ohtani made it look routine.

The praise for Ohtani can go on forever. He is an elite pitcher who also happens to be one of the best pure hitters in the game today. His WAR truly has no ceiling and more consistent time on the mound this season will easily put him in the MVP conversation.

Angels fans are dealing with plenty of stress right now as Mike Trout remains out with his injury. But it is rare to have another superstar in the lineup as well, and Angels fans are enjoying a great game Tuesday night thanks to the early blast from Ohtani.
