New York Mets fans are well aware that the team will go as far as Jacob deGrom takes them in 2021. The Mets need him healthy not only to make it into October, but to find success there as well.

The ace has already dealt with some injury concerns in 2021, which means he needs to take it easy and be careful on his days off. Or, he can wrestle on the field.

Mets fans witness Jacob deGrom executing a takedown

This would normally be considered harmless fun by some teammates. But considering this is deGrom, Mets fans have to be absolutely freaking out. Just imagine if he had gotten hurt doing this. Twitter may have crashed from the reactions.

Luckily, no injuries took place. But still, it was fun to watch some reactions on Twitter. All that actually happened was deGrom getting the pin and sealing the imaginary victory.

The ace last pitched June 26 and made it through six innings of work with five strikeouts. He left the game after 88 pitches as the Mets remain cautious with their star. And while the Mets did win, it was almost shocking to see deGrom allowed two earned runs in the start. That bumped his ERA up to 0.69 on the year.

The National League Cy Young is already his to lose, given he can stay healthy. His teammates and coaches may want to pull him aside and tell him the wrestling can be put on hold until after the season. Or for the rest of his career, for that matter.
