Must make trades for each National League West team: Los Angeles Dodgers

Trade idea: Nothing…for now

The rollercoaster ride for the Los Angeles Dodgers has been a long one. Before the season even began, many were already crowning them back-to-back champions. The addition of pitcher Trevor Bauer had the Dodgers looking practically impossible. But, as the saying goes, you play the game on the field, not on paper.

The Dodgers hit a bit of a rough patch and the expectations came crashing down. After picking things back up, the Dodgers are now in the thick of things to finish with the best record in the league, or, at the very least, nab a wild card spot.

What more can they possibly need? They rank first in the majors with an ERA of 3.12, tied for third in saves with 29, number two in strikeouts with 876, seventh in the home run department with 112 and tied for second in RBIs with 419. This team is loaded.

The one major issue that could derail them, is the ongoing legal issues with Bauer. If his seven-day administrative leave turns into a much lengthier hiatus, they’ll need to grab another pitcher. For now though, they’ll have to play the waiting game.
