The next time you criticize a move by the Los Angeles Dodgers on Twitter, you might just have manager Dave Roberts reading your logic and maybe even responding and telling you why you’re way off base.

Prior to Game 4 of the National League Championship Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves, Roberts was asked if he had seen a replay of the series-shifting three-run home run hit by Cody Bellinger in the eighth inning of Game 3 of the series that turned a 5-2 Atlanta lead into a 5-5 tie. Mookie Betts would drive in the winning run later in the inning with a double to give the Dodgers a 6-5 lead and cut the Atlanta series edge to 2-1.

Bellinger’s blast sent Dodger Stadium into a frenzy and became one of the most replayed moments of the MLB postseason. Roberts saw the moment happen live, but reporters asked if he had had a chance to watch it again? Well, thanks to social media and the power of the Internet, the answer is yes.

Wait … so is the LA manager a TikTok guy as well? The answer is no, but a side comment to that question provided an interesting answer.

Let’s just say that “might” from Roberts means “yeah, I have one.” That means that the Los Angeles skipper could well be out there on Twitter seeing exactly what beat writers and fans are saying about his team and decisions after wins and losses.

The Dodgers set a strange postseason record. dark. Next

Now certainly there are plenty of other things that Roberts has to do in the midst of another deep postseason run besides check out what is going on on Twitter. However, the next time you’re wondering aloud on Twitter why Roberts pulled a pitcher too early and another Twitter user comes along to defend the move, who knows, you just might be arguing against the man who made the move himself.
