3 moves for the Cleveland Indians this offseason

A long talk with Zach Plesac
As it currently stands, Shane Beiber and Zach Plesac front the Cleveland Indians rotation. While there are few questions about Beiber, the same cannot be said about Plesac.
He appeared to be another potential ace in 2020, posting a 2.28 ERA and a 0.795 WHiP over his 55.1 innings, striking out 57 batters with six walks. However, Plesac was also disciplined by the Indians for breaking COVID protocols after he and former teammate Mike Clevinger left the team hotel without permission and lied about it. Plesac also posted a video justifying his actions, which did not help his cause at all.
A strange injury did not help his cause last year either. He missed over a month with a fractured thumb after “aggressively” taking off his shirt when he slammed it on a nearby chair. Plesac admitted that a rough outing that night may have contributed to his taking out his frustrations on his shirt, leading to the injury.
The Indians cannot afford for Plesac to continue to do these things. If they are going to contend in 2022, and if he is going to truly reach his potential, he needs to mature quickly. This is a conversation that the franchise needs to have with Plesac, and it needs to happen soon.
Zach Plesac is going to be key to the Cleveland Indians hopes for 2022. He needs to grow up in a hurry.
