Kris Bryant is the type of player that can help virtually any team. His ability to play third base and both corner outfield spots provides plenty of flexibility and will only serve to expand his market. Bryant has also added first base and center to his defensive resume, making him even more valuable.

He is also much more than a versatile asset defensively. Bryant is a proven middle of the order bat, someone who can change the complexion of a lineup. The Giants brought him in at the trade deadline to do just that and he did not disappoint.

Three potential landing spots for Kris Bryant

This makes Bryant one of the more hotly desired players in free agency. Once major league signings are allowed to happen again and the lockout ends, Bryant will have plenty of suitors to choose from. But which teams would be the best fit for his services?

Kris Bryant is going to be a highly desired free agent when he can sign. Let’s look at three landing spots that could use his services most.

Seattle Mariners

The Seattle Mariners are determined to improve their roster and return to the playoffs. Adding Kris Bryant would make a major difference.

For the first time in over a decade, third base is a question mark. Kyle Seager has been allowed to enter free agency with the organization turning down his team option for 2022. General manager Jerry Dipoto has been vocal about his desire to create a more dynamic and versatile roster, something that has continued with the acquisition of Adam Frazier.

They are not done. While Frazier fixes a hole at second base, or provides plenty of depth on the roster, the Mariners need to address other needs. Not only do they need that aforementioned third baseman, but they need a middle of the order bat to further lengthen what could be a dangerous lineup.

Bryant would do just that. He would add a proven power bat in the middle of the Mariners’ lineup, protecting the team against any possible regression from their young stars. He would also provide a solid backup plan in the outfield in case any of those younger players begin to struggle, giving them a day off to clear their heads and get back on track.

The Seattle Mariners are still looking to add impact players to the roster. Kris Bryant would be the type of player they need.
