Clayton Kershaw video gives Dodgers fans hope ahead of Super Bowl
An older video showing Clayton Kershaw in a Los Angeles Dodgers uniform wishing his childhood friend Matthew Stafford, now quarterback of the Los Angeles Rams, well has resurfaced ahead of the Super Bowl and has Dodgers fans hopeful that Kershaw will return to Chavez Ravine.
A video featuring Clayton Kershaw in a Los Angeles Dodgers uniform is generating some social media buzz
The timing of the video making a comeback in the world of social media makes sense as the Rams are set to play in Super Bowl LVI later today against the Cincinnati Bengals. Kershaw has stated that he will be in attendance at the Super Bowl, held at SoFi Stadium, located near Los Angeles International Airport, in support of Stafford, his childhood friend.
That’s the present, but let’s flash back to a time shortly after Stafford landed in Los Angeles as part of a trade with the Detroit Lions. That’s when Kershaw, decked out in his Los Angeles Dodgers uniform, shot a quick welcome video for the new resident of the City of Angels.
This older video, however, has made a comeback with the Super Bowl approaching and Kershaw saying he will be at SoFi Stadium. However, with it being shared, the original timestamp of March of 2021 hasn’t appeared, so Dodgers fans are seeing Kershaw in his Dodgers jersey and getting excited that the left-hander is back with the team.
Unfortunately for Dodgers fans, the MLB lockout is still in place and Kershaw’s decision about his return to Los Angeles or starting a new chapter with another team is still up in the air.
However, until the lockout is over and Kershaw’s future is solidified, Los Angeles fans could hold on to any piece of hope they can (even an almost-year-old video) about the future Hall of Famer finishing out his career at Chavez Ravine.
