Nearly all of the top free agents have signed with one of the 30 MLB teams. In fact, 49 of the top 50 free agents on MLB Trade Rumors’ Top 50 list have already signed.

While they may not be of the same allure as the top free agents, there are still plenty of free agents (over 100 in fact) and many of them could help a team out in 2022.

Here are the top 10 MLB free agents left on the market

10) Wilson Ramos

Wilson Ramos could provide an MLB team with a veteran, backup catcher.

Ramos, 34, struggled with Cleveland and Detroit in 2021 (44 games, -0.4 rWAR, 76 OPS+) but he had a 0.3 rWAR season for the Mets in 45 games in 2020 and a 2.4 rWAR season with them in 2019.

9) Asdrúbal Cabrera

Asdrubal Cabrera is more of a bench piece at this point of his career but he could provide a number of teams with a veteran infielder.

Cabrera, 36, played in 110 games with the D-Backs and Reds in 2021 and in 352 plate appearances, he hit .230/.313/.366 with seven homers, 42 RBI, an OPS+ 83, and an rWAR of 0.3. In 2019 and 2020, he played in 183 games with an OPS+ of 99 and a combined rWAR of 0.9.

8) Cole Hamels

Cole Hamels didn’t pitch in 2021 but he has indicated that he doesn’t want to retire quite yet.

In 2020, he only made one start for the Braves but in 2019, he made 27 starts for the Cubs with a 7-7 record and a 3.81 ERA. He had a 116 ERA+, a 4.09 FIP, and he struck out more than a batter per inning.
