With some Major League Baseball teams having 10 games in the books, it’s time to take a look at the latest MLB power rankings to see which teams are surprising, living up to expectations, or already have heads scratching.

How is your favorite MLB team doing early in the season? Let’s take a look at the latest MLB power rankings to find out.

In this article, we not only will be ranking the teams as they currently stand, but also reference back to our first power rankings of the season, which came out just before Opening Day.

30. Baltimore Orioles (last ranking: 29)

The season is already off to a tough start in Baltimore with starting pitcher John Means questionable to return any time in 2022 after being placed on the 60-day injured list with a left elbow strain. In arguably the deepest division in all of Major League Baseball, any injury is going to be significant for the Orioles, especially on the mound.

29. Cincinnati Reds (last ranking: 27)

Hunter Greene wowed in his debut, throwing an MLB-record 39 pitches at or over 100 mph against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday. While Greene could well become must-see TV any time he pitches, the Reds certainly aren’t, dropping Greene’s first outing by a 5-2 score and being outscored by the widest margin of any MLB team through their first nine games.

28. Texas Rangers (last ranking: 19)

Call it an overreaction or whatever you like, but the Rangers losing a seven-run deficit on Opening Day to the Toronto Blue Jays and then losing their Opening Day starter (Jon Gray) to the injured list seems to sum up exactly how the early going has been for Texas. It’s a big drop in the rankings, but the Rangers have played like a bottom-level team through their first three series of the season.
