The New York Mets currently have two games with special fireworks displays slated for the rest of the 2022 season. Those games are scheduled for Saturday, July 2, when the Mets host the Texas Rangers, and Friday, September 2, when the Washington Nationals pay a visit to Citi Field. Both games are slated to begin at 7:10 p.m. (Eastern time).

On July 2, the fireworks will be patriotic-themed (to tie in with the Fourth of July weekend) while the September 2 fireworks will be a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the franchise.

Each fireworks display will go along with a display especially designed for the event on the Citi Field scoreboard.

When will the gates open for these firework games with the Mets?

All Citi Field gates and ticket windows are scheduled to open two hours before first pitch.

Where is the best place to view the fireworks after the Mets game?

Mets fans often rate the Coca-Cola Corner (Sections 301-305 in right field) as a great place to see all of the fireworks, which are shot off around the ring of the stadium and in the outfield as well. While the seats are great for fireworks, they reportedly aren’t the best seats if you’re going to watch the game.

Additionally, fans have said that sitting along the first base side will get a good view of the majority of the fireworks as well.
