It’s almost time to bid goodbye to August and hello to the final full month of the MLB regular season. So where do teams find themselves in our latest MLB power rankings as September approaches?
In our latest MLB power rankings, little changes at the top but there are plenty of teams swapping positions as September nears
Our top seven stays intact this week, but the Toronto Blue Jays take a slide out of the top 10 after three straight losses to the Los Angeles Angels. Fellow AL East member Tampa Bay moves up, giving the AL and NL four teams each in the top eight.
Speaking of sliding, the Chicago White Sox tumbled from 16th to 19th this week after suffering a home sweep to the Arizona Diamondbacks, a team that climbed above them in our MLB power rankings for the first time this season.
Below, please find our latest MLB power rankings. As we do every week, we are including one note of interest about one team in each of the thirds of our list.

It was Kansas City’s highest-scoring game in more than three years (since scoring 15 on May 4, 2019 at Detroit) and the franchise’s highest-scoring game at home since plating 16 on July 20, 2017 against Detroit.
