San Francisco Giants

The San Francisco Giants are, once again, going to be looking to fill out their rotation.

They are in much better shape than they were last offseason. The Giants essentially had to rebuild their rotation from scratch, hoping to recapture the magic that led to an unexpected 107 win campaign in 2021. While they fell short, the Giants still managed to find several pieces to build around for next year.

At this point, four of their rotation spots appear to be locked in. It is a matter of finding someone to slot into the third or fourth starter role, someone that could be a relative bargain who has the upside to be even better than expected.

Noah Syndergaard could easily be that pitcher. While there has to be some expected improvement as he moves further from his Tommy John surgery, the Giants have also displayed a knack for rebuilding careers. They may be the perfect team for Syndergaard to land with on a one year deal, working with the Giants coaching staff to relearn his stuff and find a new method of attacking the opposition.

The San Francisco Giants have been able to rebuild pitchers over the past few years. Noah Syndergaard could be the next in line.
