It was a home run-filled day on Wednesday around Major League Baseball spring training, so this edition of MLB news and videos focuses on blasts off the bats of the Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, and Colorado Rockies.

Seattle Mariners video: Julio Rodriguez and Jarred Kelenic launch home runs

The top of the order proved potent for the Mariners on Wednesday as Rodriguez and Kelenic each did damage when Seattle turned over the lineup in the top of the fifth on the road against the Chicago Cubs. With two outs in the frame, Rodriguez (who recently received high praise from Mariners president of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto) launched his first homer of the spring, followed by Kelenic hitting his third.

Rodriguez is now hitting .400 (4-for-10) while Kelenic is 4-for-11 (.364).

MLB news: Kris Bryant keeps hitting home runs for Colorado Rockies

Trying to shake off an injury-filled campaign last season in his first year with the Rockies, Bryant is looking solid early in spring, launching his second home run of the spring on Wednesday against the Kansas City Royals in Scottsdale.

In 160 at-bats last season, Bryant hit a total of five home runs, and all came on the road. However, Colorado manager Bud Black is liking what he is seeing from his star outfielder in the spring.

“Bryant’s was a great swing. It was good to see that out of Kris,” Black said after the Royals rallied for an 8-6 win.

New York Yankees video: Walkoff home run from Carlos Narvaez

Tied at 2 with two outs and two strikes in the bottom of the ninth? Not a problem for New York’s Carlos Narvaez, who sent a towering opposite field two-run shot just out of the reach of Washington’s Donovan Casey to lift the Yankees to a 4-2 decision on Wednesday.

The home run was the second of the spring for the Yankees catcher.
