The 2023 MLB season is finally upon us. After a long and eventful offseason, it is time for the long seven-month stretch of the regular season. Every teams fans are expecting big things this year. In order to find out what some fans think of their teams going into 2023, I asked some of your favorite MLB YouTubers what they thought.
YouTube streamers give their take on the upcoming MLB season
First, we have a Texas Rangers fan and a top MLB The Show streamer Ance Larmstrong. The Rangers had a great offseason splurge when they signed Jacob deGrom. Ance said he didn’t even believe it was real when it happened. “I had just hopped off stream and the news broke about 5 minutes later. I had people hitting me up talking about getting deGrom and I thought they were talking about an event reward in MLB The Show”.
Ance also has high expectations for his team this year. He believes that, with the shift ban helping Corey Seager and another year under his belt for Marcus Semien in Texas, that the Rangers will make a Wild Card spot and have a chance to push for a ring.
Also chipping in is the MLB The Show BR demon Ray Cheesy. Ray is a Pirates fan and he doesn’t have too much to look forward to this season, at least on paper. When talking about the offseason he said, “I thought the offseason went really well. They made some huge impacts signing veterans and bringing Cutch (Andrew McCutchen) back. There are a ton of young guys on the roster or that will be called up that should make huge impact”. His expectations for the Pirates in 2023 is just around .500 with the young guys hopefully getting good reps in.
We all can’t wait to watch the upcoming MLB season. Let’s hope for another great one.
