We are about 20 games into the MLB season so it’s time to start looking for some outfielders that you can add to your fantasy baseball rosters. There are some players that have hot stretches, but I think these five outfielders can be useful all season.

Fantasy baseball outfielders to know

  • Jorge Soler has started off the season strong with five homers already! He has been batting second and fourth in the Marlins lineup and has huge power potential. He is capable of hitting 40 homers as he did in 2019 with 48.
  • Brandon Marsh has three homers and 11 RBI to start the season and has been batting fifth against right-handers in the Phillies lineup after they have been experiencing some injuries. He should continue producing and his counting stats will only get better as the team gets healthier.
  • Andrew McCutchen has turned back the clock and started on fire with the team he started his career with. He already has four home runs and three steals for the Pirates and I expect him to have a 20/20 season if he stays healthy.
  • Josh Lowe has given the Rays no choice but to keep playing him with the hot start he has had. He’s another guy I’m expecting a 20/20 season from. He is in a lineup that is on fire right now so the run-scoring opportunities are fantastic.
  • Esteury Ruiz has been leading off for the A’s and is doing a great job so far, hitting .302. This is the guy you want if you are in need of stolen bases. He has five already and I expect him to get 30 more by the end of the season.

Most leagues require five outfielders so there are probably some combination of injured players or slow starts on your roster. All of these players are rostered in under 40 percent of leagues and should be added based on those categories which need a lift. Go get one of these five and gain some ground in those counting stats ASAP!
