Fantasy baseball: Ryan McMahon on hot streak for Colorado Rockies
Need a boost for your fantasy baseball team? Ryan McMahon is on a tear right now for the Colorado Rockies and could be a valuable add for your squad.
Fantasy baseball: Why Ryan McMahon is a must-add right now
Eligible at both second base and third base, McMahon homered in his fourth straight game on Memorial Day and also put together his second career four-hit contest as the Rockies dropped the opener of a four-game series in Arizona against the Diamondbacks.
Entering play on Tuesday, McMahon was rostered in 56 percent of Yahoo leagues and 11 percent of ESPN leagues. He is also putting together a slugging percentage of 1.077 over his last seven games and .352 batting average over his last 15 games.
“I’m sure Mac will tell you he’s seeing the ball great,” Rockies manager Bud Blacktold MLB.com. “That’s a big thing that always resonates with me about players who are getting their hits.
“You see his takes, you see his swing and he’s not fouling balls back. He’s putting them in play with authority.”
McMahon has struggled overall this season, but he has also been a player in the past who has gotten on torrid hot streaks. Now would be the perfect time to ride the wave with McMahon and let his hot hitting at the plate help your team to victory.
“This game is such a humbling game, right?” McMahon told reporters on Sunday after his five RBI matched a career-high. “You can go from the top of the world to the bottom real quick. I definitely feel better with what I’m doing.”
Our advice? Add Ryan McMahon to your fantasy baseball roster while you can.
