The Atlanta Braves will look to win the first series of June and split a six-game road trip out west when they clash with the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday afternoon at Chase Field in Phoenix. Game time is slated for 1:10 p.m. in Phoenix and 4:10 p.m. in Atlanta.

Arizona held on for a 3-2 lead on Friday night before the Braves rebounded with a win on Saturday night behind a balanced offensive attack highlighted by a sixth-inning solo home run from Ronald Acuña Jr. that measured 464 feet.

The loss snapped a six-game winning streak for the Diamondbacks, but they remain tied at the top of the National League West with the Los Angeles Dodgers entering Sunday’s contest.

Taking the mound for the visiting Braves on Sunday will likely be Michael Soroka, who has dealt with numerous injuries in recent seasons. The 25-year-old right-hander is expected to make his second start of the season against Arizona. He’s coming off a season debut on May 29 in Oakland where he gave up four runs and five hits in 6.0 innings to the A’s. He also gave up a home run and hit two batters.

Opposing Soroka will be 27-year-old right-hander Zac Gallen, who is in the early conversation for National League Cy Young honors. Through his first 12 starts of the season, Gallen has posted a 2.72 ERA and struck out 82 batters in 72.2 innings.

He’s also been very good at home.
