Philadelphia has never been an easy place to place if you’re an athlete. It becomes even harder if you are a superstar athlete making superstar athlete money. Right now, one of Philly’s superstars could use the support of Phillies fans rather than the boo birds in attendance.

Trea Turner is having, what could possibly be, the worst stretch of baseball he has ever had in his career. On Wednesday night, in his postgame interview, you could feel the frustration and overall pain his voice.

When asked about Trea Turner on Wednesday night night, Philadelphia Phillies manager said that it has to be on Turner to find himself and that he full believes he will.

Turner apparently spent hours in the bullpen after the game last night. While fans are going to want to boo Turner, this is very similar to the Alec Bohm situation last season. Jack Fritz of 94.1 WIP said it best.

While Turner hasn’t exactly been the superstar everyone was expecting from the World Baseball Classic, it seems like he is lost. Baseball is more than a sport of skill. It heavily relies on your confidence and having a strong mentality of being able to bounce back. There is still plenty of baseball to be played.

Right now, Trea Turner needs this kind of support from the Philadelphia Phillies fanbase.

Trea Turner will find it. Whether it’s this week, three weeks from now, or the playoffs, Trea Turner will be the superstar we all expected him to be. If we have to go through this rough season of subpar baseball to get one of the elites in the game, so be it.
