With each passing week, we get closer and closer to October. In the past seven days, the Atlanta Braves have continued to set the pace for the rest of the league, but the Baltimore Orioles continue to play consistent baseball and keep the Tampa Bay Rays at bay.

Baltimore collected win No. 90 Saturday in a wild 13-12 win over the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. When the season started, who had them winning their 90th game with three weeks remaining in the season? Not many.

The Houston Astros make a jump after sweeping the Texas Rangers taking advantage of the Seattle Mariners’ troubles and taking over the American League West Division lead. The Toronto Blue Jays have also taken advantage of the Rangers’ struggles and reclaimed the final AL Wild Card spot for now. The bottom half of the rankings is full of teams looking to finish the season strong and looking ahead to 2024.
