Born and raised just north of Atlanta, Chris grew a love for baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves, in early childhood. In his household, there was always an 11th commandment - "Thou shalt not root against the Braves." Chris spent 11 years in the Army and also did full-time baseball and college football writing for a few years for Bleacher Report before becoming a high-school English teacher and track coach.
