According to Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald, the Florida Marlins have released right handed pitcher Seth McClung.  McClung, signed a minor league deal with Florida in February in hopes of making the team as a reliever. But after allowing nine hits and nine earned runs in only six spring appearances, it was clear that McClung would not be making the team.

McClung, who spent the 2009 season with the Milwaukee Brewers, went 3-3 with a 4.94 ERA in 62 innings pitched last year as a reliever in the Brewers bullpen.
