Twins Receive Good News on Young

facebooktwitterreddit

Minnesota welcomed some positive injury related news for a change yesterday when the club learned that Delmon Young doesn’t have any ligament damage in his sprained ankle.

The club received the good word Tuesday after Young underwent an MRI to show the extent of the injury he suffered Saturday when he slid into the left field wall.

"“It showed some swelling in the ankle and a bone bruise, but the ligaments all look good,” Twins trainer Rick McWane said. “So, we’re thinking he just went straight forward into the wall with his ankle and just jammed his ankle. He’s responded to treatment really well the last few days and can put full weight on the ankle.”"

Minnesota is expecting Young to return from the disabled list the first day he becomes eligible, July 11th.
