10. Tim Lincecum

Lance Iversen-USA TODAY Sports

Big-time Timmy Jim is back in the top tier of MLB pitchers. I’ll admit, he barely snuck in at the number ten spot but he’s earned it. Tim Lincecum is rocking a 2.00 ERA across 36 innings pitched. He’s surrendered only one home run, and has a great 1.19 WHIP.

What makes Lincecum great is that ouside of two starts, he’s only surrendered one earned run.

It’s great to see Tim Lincecum back in the elite pitcher talk. He was one of the most entertaining pitchers to watch in his prime and it’s awesome to see him flirting with that old form He may not have the hair of the good old days, but his form is enough to help us forget about it.

We saw glimpses of this fine form last year when the Freak threw two no-hitters, and given the consistency he had earlier in his career, we all knew the stuff was there. Lincecum’s father, Chris, is one of the main reasons for Lincecum’s success and they spent spring training redeveloping what made him so good.

He may not be striking out as many batters as he used to, but the dominance is back and it’s all thanks to Chris.
