#4 Matt Kemp

Matt Kemp is a player that much like A.J. has a very mixed and debated reputation. Regardless of that, due to the overall lack of major league talent he is currently one of the Braves best major league players.

Kemp was an MVP player in 2011 and since then has come nowhere close to an MVP type player over a full season. After the career year, expectations were higher than ever for Kemp and he has failed to deliver.

Despite his regression as a fielder and hitter he is still a legitimate right-handed power option. That is something that this Braves team is sorely lacking. Kemp may not be the player he once was but he does offer that one commodity.

Along with his power he also helped the Braves rid themselves of Hector Olivera. While this doesn’t help him make this list it certainly heightened his appeal to Braves fans. Hector Olivera for Matt Kemp may not have been cheap but it allowed the Braves to add a veteran to a lineup that is short on major league ready players.

Overall it will be interesting to see how Matt Kemp’s career will be remembered. Will it be the player with a lazy reputation from San Diego or the star player he was for a couple of seasons as a Dodger?
