As Manny Machado gets ready to suit up for the 89th MLB All Star Game, he may be playing his final game in a Baltimore Orioles uniform.

It is just a matter of time until Baltimore Orioles shortstop Manny Machado is traded. He has been a hot topic in trade rumors lately, with the Brewers, Phillies, and Dodgers all vying for his services. Someday soon, his tenure in Baltimore will be coming to an end.

Later tonight, during the 89th All Star Game, Orioles fans will be able to see him in his familiar uniform on the national stage. However, that may be the last time he dons the black and orange, especially given the rumor that Machado will be traded to the Phillies on Wednesday morning. However, other reports say that is not the case, and the Dodgers and Brewers are still in the mix.

More from Call to the Pen

Either way, it appears as though Machado has played his final game for the Orioles. The trade may well happen right after the All Star Game, allowing him that last outing for the fans to see. And then, once Wednesday comes around, and the All Star Game is over, there would not be a reason to delay a trade any longer.

Even though Machado would be a rental, he will still bring back more than enough to jumpstart the Orioles rebuild. He is in the midst of a career year, producing a .315/.387/.575 batting line with 24 homers. Machado has even backed off of his demand to only play short, showing a somewhat begrudging willingness to play third if whatever team acquires him so desires.

However, that is for a point in the future. For now, all Orioles fans can do is enjoy his remaining time in Baltimore, basking in his greatness once again. After all, his time with the Orioles is being counted down by the hour, leaving the Baltimore faithful with nothing more than fond memories and hopes for the future.

Next: What will the Orioles sell?

Before that happens, Baltimore Orioles fans will have one last chance to watch Manny Machado in a familiar uniform. It may be the last time they see that.
