Ronald Acuna, Braves

          .307AVG /.429 OBP / .600 SLG / 6 HR / 16 RBI

The right-hander makes this list because of his massive potential with the Braves. He set stunning records for rookies and 20-year-olds in the majors alike. A record-breaking MLB rookie season has people starting to believe that Acuna was not just hype.

A small sample has yielded some very positive returns, as Acuna has already blasted six home runs while serving as the focal point of the dangerous Atlanta lineup. His most impressive shot thus far has been a monstrous 462-foot blast into the left-field bleachers off of Mets lefty Luis Avilan.

He has not simply been a power threat in his early career either. He has shown an ability to reach base well above league average- about .330. At the end of 2018, his OBP reached up to .366 and a scorching start to 2019 has seen it climb to an astronomical .429. His slugging percentage has even been more impressive, as a .552 in 2018 and an even .600 this MLB season prove he has more than lived up to his hype as a prospect.

The most important ability of Acuna’s is to excite the Atlanta fanbase at the center of a young, eye-catching team. He has passed Freddie Freeman– a long-term Brave- in many regards since the start of 2018. While Freeman has played excellently as well, he just does not garner the degree of enthusiasm that the young slugger has. Acuna is not only an Atlanta star, but rather his stardom has spread throughout the universe of MLB fans. His extreme power and exciting play capturing the attention of many baseball fans across the country.
